This handsome little stinker is Cairo. Boy does he have fire....he is 1 and a half years old and weighs 25lbs This guy is fun, energetic and a LOVER. Cairo was surrendered to us as a completely under socialized Puppy. He was so terrified that he had shown one of the worst cases of fear aggression I have worked with. NOW READ CAREFULLY!!!! After a few weeks of work he learned how to be a real dog. He is now social and playing with other dogs but every once in a while he will pick on a big boy dog., He is amazing with kids and with people he got to know He will growl and be standoffish towards strangers. Every once in a while he will pick a person and will be absolutely nasty and has the potential to bite. If you come for a meet and greet with him do not expect a happy go lucky puppy jumping in your lap. You have to earn that in his mind. Not only is that still a trauma from being under socialized but it's also a character trait of the CHOW CHOW. He does have the potential to bite someone he has not bonded with!!! He has to be treated with Caution if you are new to his circle. Cairo needs a low traffic home. Someone or a family who has not many guests over or is ok with him potentially having to be put away while entertaining visitors. Cairo is a 1 family kind of dog and very protective over his people. Once you have bonded with Cairo you can literally take him everywhere with you . He is the best Co pilot to have and is just an amazing companion to be around. He is crate and house trained. He likes to go for walks and does have energy he needs to release. He would do well as an only dog or as a companion dog. He would also do well in an apartment. He is NOT a good fit for a first time dog owner. Experience is required. If you would like to meet with our special little guy, please send us a message in order to receive an application. His adoption fee is $ 350 which includes all vaccines, heartworm test, neuter and micro chip.
