About Lima

Lima is a very shy 2 year old Bean (whoops! we mean Chihuahua) mix looking for her forever home to sprout in. She weighs just over 12 pounds and is full grown. Lima will need a patient home willing to give her time to adjust and build a bond with her humans. She is very timid when first meeting people and may do best in a home with few visitors as she is adjusting. Lima has done well with gentle adults but has not been around children that we know of. She would most likely do best in a home with no young children that may spook her. Lima has done well with other dogs her size but can sometimes be a bit selective. Please bring any potential canine companions to meet with Lima prior to adoption. Lima is very food motivated and having a bribe when meeting her or building trust in her home will be very helpful! She was a stray taken in at the County shelter, and will most likely require training as she adjusts. When she gets more comfortable, Lima will smile when she gets excited! She is a very gentle girl that will need a secure home to keep her safe and gentle humans to gain her trust! She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped. Her adoption fee of $220 includes a free vet visit. To potentially adopt her come to our shelter location at 1102 W Hatcher Road in Phoenix 85021, open Tuesday to Sunday 11am to 6pm. --Covid update: To adhere to CDC guidelines, we are open for adoptions only at a max capacity of 15 people in the building at a time.
