Lulu Belle is a tricolor female Beagle mix that grew up in a tough part of town. Besides the elderly man that took this girl under his wing, the other neighborhood residents were not very kind to her. Lacking resources to properly care for Lulu Belle and fearing for her safety, he reached out to us for help. Fortunately, we were able to bring her into our rescue recently and she is doing quite well. At first, Lulu Belle was understandably wary of volunteers. It has been a journey gaining her trust. With patience and love, our volunteers showed her not all people were bad and soon won her over. This girl has really blossomed over the past few weeks and is now ready to be adopted. Lulu Belle is approximately one and half years old, medium in size, and has been fully vetted. She would make a wonderful companion for someone that is home most of the day. Lulu Belle would do best if she had another confident dog to bond with. She tends to be anxious and fearful of children because of prior abuse suffered at their hands. Older children that are dog savvy and respectful would likely gain her trust. She is fond of some of our teenage volunteers. LuLu Belle will need a fenced in yard at her new home. She is not accustomed to leashed walks but does enjoy playing and running outdoors. Lulu Belle prefers going on grass and is housebroken if kept on a regular schedule. This girl is a very affectionate loving dog that deserves a second chance. Please consider opening your heart and give Lulu Belle the loving home she so desperately needs.
