About Blu

Blu is an almost two-year-old, 30 lb, purebred Border Collie currently being fostered in Yulee, FL (Nassau County). Blu enjoys a good chew on plush toys, short bursts of play with a dog pal, and relaxing on a soft bed in a quiet room. She loves a walk in a relaxed environment, particularly early in the morning. She loves to cuddle and is attracted to soft, fluffy blankets. Blu knows basic obedience, including sit, lay down, and come. She walks nicely on leash and does well during car rides. She has also excelled in herding classes. Blu has a passion for learning but is not always motivated. When she is in the mood, she can be treat, toy and praise motivated. Blu does have some typical 'Border Collie reserve' and can be startled by loud noises when on a walk. She would benefit from a calm, but active, home life that includes daily walks, a fenced-in yard, and another confident, playful canine companion. She picks up a lot from other dogs and loves playing, but does want her space at times. She loves her people, so someone who is home a lot would be ideal. She would do best in a home with adults only. Blu is spayed, house trained, crate trained, and up-to-date on vaccines.
