About Darcy

Adoption Fee: $225
Lab mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Meet Darcy Darcy is a beautiful Labrador retriever mix. We rescued her from a high-kill shelter and put her on her Freedom Ride for Life. She arrived on October 10, 2020. Darcy is 2.6 years of age. She has a gorgeous black coat and is of medium size at 46 pounds. She's fully grown and shouldn't get bigger. Darcy is sweet and affectionate. She loves being with people and she is friendly with other dogs. We have yet to test her with kitties and will do so for potential adopters. Darcy loves to play in the yard and she walks well on a leash, hoping that you'll take long walks with her. Darcy is trying hard to be brave, but we can see she is struggling with all the changes in her life. She's feeling a bit uncertain. She tries so hard, but every now and again, something will frighten her and she retreats into herself hoping that someone will come for her soon. Darcy had a hard life before coming to our shelter. She could sure use some TLC to help her thrive. If you're looking for a young, beautiful dog, with so many of the wonderful qualities that a Labrador has, Darcy may be the one. She is going to make for a wonderful companion to that special someone. Call 706-865-4135 for information on additional health services provided as part of the adoption fee.
