Meet Chance. This irresistible guy is a 42 pound Australian Cattledog mix who was born in January, 2020. Chance does have a docked tail. Chance is a smartie. He has learned sit, wait (at all doors), leave it, heel, off, and down (still a work in progress). As for tricks, he is working on High 5 and Sit Pretty. Chance is also house and crate trained. Chance is good with men, women, and kids over 10. He is too excited for smaller kids. Chance is good with dogs who are large and small. That said, any new owner must be prepared to help him practice so he continues this when greeting new dogs. After he knows a dog, he loves to play. Chance is a fetcher! He also likes soft toys and is learning to play tug. Chance will be a wonderful adventure partner. He is good on leash and good in the car. He loves an open window! Chance isn't used to City life. He does bark at motorcycles and bicycles. With assurance, he settles down. A new owner has to be ready to manage this. Chance is still a puppy and needs to be reminded not to use his mouth on hands or arms to show affection. He doesn't clamp down but needs to be reminded to keep his mouth to himself. Such a Cattledog! Chance is very loving and likes to lean in (cuddle) when getting petted or scratched. He takes treats gently. Chance uses his words, he is a 'talker' when he wants to play. Chance is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is available for a meeting and adoption in SoCal. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required.
