Jewel was found abandoned, soaking wet in a creek in Baltimore city. She was taken to the local shelter but no one ever came looking for her. She was scared to death, so she went to a foster home to decompress. She was lactating at the time, so it seems like she had her puppies and was discarded like trash. After a few weeks, Jewel has come out of her shell and is such a happy, sweet girl. She is now looking for her happy ending. A forever home of her own. Jewel can still be nervous and startles easily. I suggest that she doesn't live with young, rambunctious children. She likes to chase cats, so no cats. She has been selective with the other dogs in her foster home. Barks at some but fine with others. An experienced owner could help her adjust after a slow introduction. Otherwise, she should be the only pet. She is fairly low energy. She enjoys lounging indoors or out. We do not know her actual breed. Her boxed head may be deemed a bully mix, therefore she needs a home without breed restrictions. Jewel is a very sweet girl and will be an amazing addition to your home. She is current on vaccines, microchipped & spayed. Send us a message to meet this beautiful girl.
