About Midna

Midna is a 4 year old female Lab/pointer mix, about 45 pounds. Midna can be a bit of an introvert and prefers spending time at home with her family. Midna loves cuddling with her people when she gets to be on the couch or the bed and will let you know when she wants to play. Midna is potty trained and will stand at the back door when she needs to go out. She is crate trained and does well in the crate when left alone during the work day. She is great with people, but will bark at strangers until she gets the chance to meet them. Would do best in a home as an only dog or with a low energy or large senior dog who will give her space. NO SMALL DOGS as her prey drive is solid and no cats. Midna is reactive toward other dogs on walks and will need an adopter that has experience with reactive dogs or is willing to learn or train with her. She can be energetic and needs exercise and structure to keep her happiest. Midna walks well on the leash and keeps excellent pace as a running partner. If you are looking for an adventure buddy, Midna also loves going on quiet hikes and walks and rides really well in the car. She knows some commands and is very eager to learn new things. Would do best in a home with a solid fence and kids over ten years old. She was an owner surrender. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS FOR MIDNA: ONLY DOG IN HOME. NO CATS. CHILDREN OVER 10 YEARS OLD. NEEDS A 6' SOLID FENCE. NEEDS EXPERIENCE WITH REACTIVE DOGS OR WILLINGNESS TO LEARN AND TRAIN ACCORDINGLY. NEEDS AN ACTIVE HOME/ENRICHMENT. NO DOG PARKS OR WALKS IN HEAVILY POPULATED AREAS. NEEDS WALKS OR RUNS IN EARLY MORNING OR LATE EVENINGS/QUIET HIKES. Adoption contract and fee applies. All adoptable dogs can be met at adoption events hosted every weekend. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters.
