About Molly

Adoption Fee: $175
Rat Terrier
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

You humans sure do like to make up names! When my foster parents rescued me from the shelter, my brown spots and fat belly, growing bigger every day with puppies, made me look like a miniature cow, so they called me Molly Moo. After I gave birth to my five beautiful puppies in July, my wonderful maternal instincts earned me the name Mama Molly. I've taken great care of my babies and I'm still very protective of them, but now that I'm getting my figure back (I'm only 12 lbs.!), I'm ready to be babied myself. I'm 4 years old--old enough to be out of my own puppy phase and house-trained, except for the occasional accident, and young enough to enjoy many years with a human family of my own. I guess now I'm just Molly (or Molly from Raleigh, if you're into cute names). In my foster family, I live with two dogs, a cat, a guinea pig, and a 7-year-old human boy. I like to chase the cat but don't attack him, so I can live with a dog-savvy cat. The guinea pig is always in her cage when I'm around because I am, after all, a Rat Terrier. I get along with the other dogs most of the time, but I can get jealous if I think they're getting all the attention. Except for our squabbles from time to time, we play and chase each other in the yard. The young human is great! I follow him everywhere, and we play fetch and run together. I hope my new home will have a young human too, but not TOO young since I get excited and jump a lot when playing. So now that I'm set to begin my new life, what do I want want to be called? More than anything, I'd like to be called yours.
