About Maverick

Maverick is a gentle giant that was a stray. Maverick does great with his foster siblings, a blind 11 lb. Shih Tzu, 14 lb. Shih Tzu and a 60 lb. Retriever mix. Mav loves playing with his siblings, going on walks (he's still learning leash manners), and running and the backyard playing chase. After a fun day of playing, Maverick loves to curl up next to your chair or close to where ever you happen to be. Mav is a real love bug. He is all about showing and wanting attention from his human and giving big sloppy kisses (his kisses are more like baths) beware!! He's completely house trained and knows how to use the doggy door. I've let him have free reign of the house while I am at work. Maverick is still young and has a lot of energy - he will do best in a home with a fenced backyard. He will not do well in an apartment. Also, because of his size he will need a lot of exercise. Please understand that while Maverick is an excellent boy, it will take time for him to adjust to any new environment. I've had him for quite awhile now and he will need TIME and patience. His adoption fee is $125. That covers my cost of his neuter and microchip.
