About Buck

Adoption Fee: $300
Lab / Pit Bull
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Buck is a 2 1/2 year old Pitbull/Lab mix that was found as a stray, roaming in Houston with another dog friend. His friend was adopted shortly after, but Buck is still waiting for his perfect family to find him! He has since recovered from a terrible case of Demodex, a skin infection that caused him to lose most of his hair on his back, neck, & legs. He now has soft, new hair now that's filled in most of his bald spots & while some of his hair may not grow back to what it was, he is still handsome as ever! Buck is a young & playful boy, that loves to socialize & meet new people. He has done well with other dogs in his current foster home & would do best with dogs that can match his laid back temperament & won't mind sunbathing with him on nice days. This sweet boy came to us with little, to no home training or social skills & has since made great improvement!; His leash manners have improved tremendously & he is now fully crate & house trained. The ideal match for Buck would be someone that is comfortable reinforcing training & structure to help him be the best he can be, with assistance from us as needed, of course. He loves going for walks & checking out new places with his people. Car rides are his favorite because it usually means adventure time :) He is truly a lovable guy & he lights up any time his foster kids walk in the room!; He would be the best match for kiddos 5+ due to his size. (about 50lbs) Buck is fully vetted, including vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, & has recently completed heartworm treatment. In a state so overpopulated with dogs, Buck has been sadly overlooked for months; He is a happy, healthy boy that's ready to settle in with a family of his own. He would not be suitable for apartment living, as he enjoys having a yard of his own to sunbathe & romp around in.. (No cats) If you're looking for a loving family dog or just a companion dog that enjoys lounging around, Buck might just be the guy for you! Will you give him the chance he needs for a fresh start at life? If you're interested in meeting Buck, please apply at the link below so we can contact you :) https://form.jotform.com/83106888643163
