About Ruthie

Ruthie is a sweetheart. She is a timid soul but no matter how frightened she gets she is never snappy and never anything other than gentle and sweet. Although nervous of people at first acquaintance, once she warms up she is a devoted fan, always wanting to know where her human is. She will make a loyal and loving companion. At night she loves to snuggle in bed, preferably under the covers. If the idea of an all-year-round hot water bottle isn't your cup of tea, Ruthie may not be the gal for you. Despite those tiny legs, she enjoys a walk and can easily hike for two or three miles. Any more than that and she might need to ride in a doggy backpack or be carried in your arms. She delights in trips to the beach. She enjoys car rides. In the house she is unbelievably well behaved and very quiet - unless someone approaches the front door, then she becomes your fierce guard dog! She has been working very hard on her house training skills and pretty much has it down. Ruthie loves other dogs and she is also good with cats. She was recently separated from her best pal so ideally her new home will have a friendly dog who can become her new best friend. Ruthie is thought to be a Chihuahua-Dachshund mix, around 3 or 4 years old. She weighs 8 pounds. She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She recently had a dental. She is good to go!
