About Shiloh

Meet Shiloh!! This extremely smart girl is in need of a high energy home that will keep her busy and active. If you're looking for a dog for agility, running, hiking, and anything that will keep her mind busy and she's your girl! Shiloh is a female, 1 year old, husky(mix?). She weighs 50 pounds. She was purchased from a breeder but there are some suspicions that she's mixed with Australian Shepard. Many of her behaviors and her lack of a tail support that theory. (The breeder sold the family a husky as an easy, calm family dog so we know it wasn't a quality breeder) She will be spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines as part of her adoption. Shiloh does well with other dogs and cats! Despite her energy she really does love meeting new friends. She is very sweet but needs help with training and guidance. Her family loved her very much but were not prepared for the challenges and demands of a husky. She has had professional training and is great with her obedience but needs a constant outlet for her physical and mental energy. She is extremely obedient when you're focused on her but gets bored easily when you aren't giving her attention. Another active dog in the home would be a great thing for keeping her occupied. Shiloh walks well on a leash when reminded to walk nicely. She rides well in the car and is house trained. She did well in the crate at her previous owners home but has been very vocal when crated at the fosters. She's friendly with kids however due to her energy level she will need to go to a family with older kids. No babies or toddlers. ���ԉ�ӕ�%8FShiloh is a Husky!!! Research the breed and make sure this breed is for you. Yes she's beautiful but you need to make sure you can handle all things husky!! This includes shedding, hair, hair and more hair. It's also typical for husky's to be extremely vocal and they will escape yards if left outside alone. Also, a husky needs to run every single day! If you don't keep a husky tired and give them some mental challenges they will not be a pleasant houseguest. ��ӕ�%8F���� Shiloh has a ton of potential. She needs an active family.
