About Mariotti

Mariotti is a sweet 7 year old, long hair chihuahua mix. He came to the AZSDR from the county shelter with four teeth and lots of matted fur. He spent the first few days in his foster home hiding in his kennel, but after some treats and head scratches he started to open up and show his personality. After a much needed haircut and some quiet time in his foster home Mariotti was feeling much better. Meal time is his favorite! He gets very excited when he hears or smells his food being prepared. He wags his tail and runs about in circles waiting for his food. The rest of the day, Mariotti typically spends napping on his favorite chair. He doesn't like putting his harness on but once he is outside he is happy to explore and meander around his neighborhood. He has not met many other dogs and would do best in a quiet, calm house without young children. Mariotti does still have accidents from time to time and would need some more training in that area. Ultimately, Mariotti would do well in a quiet home with people willing to give him space, head scratches and belly rubs once he is comfortable. He weighs about 9 pounds and is full grown. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped. His adoption fee of $300 includes a free vet visit.
