PLEASE READ NELSON'S BIO THOROUGHLY BEFORE INQUIRING. ALL REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. This is our sweet and very handsome boy, Nelson! Nelson is an approx 8- 9 year old male Corgi mix who is about 18lbs of pure cuteness! This little love buy was found as a stray on the streets and taken to the shelter. He was microchipped and when the shelter called his owners, they informed him they no longer wanted him. It's ok because their loss is our gain! Nelson MUST be an ONLY dog. He cannot have another dog in the home. We see that he does have some territorial issues on leash and in the home with some dogs, so he MUST have a home that doesn't have a lot of coming and going of guests that bring their dogs over. If he does encounter dogs, SLOW introductions are a must! He needs a strong handler who is dog savvy. He cannot go into a home of a first time dog owner. He requires an EXPERIENCED dog owner who can handle him on leash and foresee the signs of any reactions from him. We are looking for a home that is non chaotic and where the owners are not gone long hours during the day. Nelson is a dog that loves walks, but he needs to be with an owner that takes him on that and on that walk only (no stopping at coffee shops, stores, etc) and straight back home. We would love him in a home with a yard where he can relax and sunbathe in the warm California sun. He is a sweet and mellow boy with people and could be your Netflix binge companion. Nelson is a gorgeous and snuggly boy who just needs that special experienced forever home to call his own. Nelson has taken some training classes for his leash aggression and per his trainer here are some important info: 'He's insecure- moreso with bigger dogs. He MUST go to an owner who isn't trying to have dog parties. Nelson is the dog that gets invited to a party and would rather stay home and read a book or watch tv. He's not interested in busy and numerous city walks. A decent yard or a casual walk 1...maybe 2x a day is all he needs and he will be satisfied with that.'
