We are NOT a breeder, we cannot guarantee any dogs breed, we don't know their history because they usually come from the shelter or the street. We do NOT generally adopt or foster to families with children under the age of 10 years old (however, we will review on a case by case basis). If you disagree we understand but this is our policy, no we are not the only good rescue with this policy. This policy was thoroughly researched and an attorney and veterinarians were consulted before we wrote this policy. Anybody adopting a dog should do their research regarding breed, potential size, characteristics, and known behavior of the dog they are adopting. Dogs are not a one size/breed fits all. Maui is an owner surrender. His mom is going away to college out of state. She does not have any family. Her mom died of cancer and her father was in an accident. She had found someone to adopt, but then they lost their home in the recent fires. She is heartbroken and Maui misses her. He is currently with a great foster who is allowing him time to decompress and get to know him better. He is 3 years old and weighs 36 pounds. Update: 8/31/2020 Hello, I'm Maui! Even though I'm not Hawaiian I've got a seriously chill, outdoors-loving, easy-going spirit about me. My foster mom thinks I'm what the internet calls a 'Wauzer', a wheaten long hair terrier and a schnauzer and my vet agree! I weigh just under 36 lbs, my hair is wiry and do shed, but my foster mom's allergies and asthma haven't had any problems since I came home to her, so she thinks I may be hypoallergenic. Some of my favorite things to do are be by your side and chillax on a cozy rug--just as long as we go for a long late morning walk and jog! Something else I love to do is be on two legs!! I don't really like being hugged, but man I love giving you 2 paws when I'm on my hind legs for a kiss or a dance. I'm housebroken, enjoy my crate for bedtime, and love being on a routine. If you find the great treat, I'll show you just how much of a good listener Good with other dogs.
