About Maui

Hello, I have a 3 year old female akita named Maui and I would like to find a wonderful home for her. She is a very sweet girl, and is good with other large breed dogs. I have older female akita, and she gets along great with her. She doesn't do well with small dogs or cats. She loves people. I'm not sure how she is around very young children since she hasn't been exposed to them. Probably children older than 7 would be best, although, given her sweet personality, she may be fine with younger kids, I just can't say for sure. She is spayed, and up to date on all of her vaccinations. She is crate trained and pet door trained. She does need some work with walking on the leash and basic commands. She also isn't that great with riding in the car. She does have skin allergies, so she takes a pill once a day to help with that. The reason that I'd like to find another home for her, is that due to my job, I'm gone 16+ hours a day, 5-6 days a week. She requires a lot of attention and would be better off with a family that can put time and dedication into her.
