About Peter

Peter was found on the streets of Miami after being hit by a car and left to fend for himself by the street. He was taken to our local kill shelter and was rescued before he was to be euthanized for his injuries. Peter suffered severe nerve damage on his front right leg from the paw to the elbow. After several attempts at physical therapy, the vet's concluded his leg needed to be amputated. Peter is our super hero, the day after his surgery he was running around and playing like any 4 legged dog. He's a very sweet and loving pup, who loves to play with his toys, go on walks or just lay on the couch with his human. Peter is up to date with shots, neutered, microchipped and house broken. He is great with kids, people and other dogs his size. Being a tripod he's a little weary of dogs bigger than him. Peter needs an experienced adopter, with a fenced in yard so he can run around and play. Peter needs a low traffic home, because of his traumatic injury, he is very fearful of strangers or new people coming into his home and space. He weighs 35lbs and is full grown. He has gorgeous caramel eyes that will melt your heart. Will you be Peter's Happily ever after?
