Sylvester is a tuxedo kitten just under 5 months old as of (08/03/2020). Sylvester is an insta-purr kitty, as soon as he gets attention, he falls in love. Sylvester also loves to run around and play with toys. He spends his days playing, taking naps in funny positions and snuggling with his foster parents. Sylvesters perfect home would be with someone who loves to play (although he will play on his own), and someone who has a warm lap for him when he is all tuckered out. He is left ear tipped. He was supposed to be a TNR (trap, neuter, return) from an outdoor colony, but once we saw how sweet he was and how dangerous the area was he was to return to, we brought him into our adoption program. Sylvester tested a very faint FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) positive at 8 weeks of age. We will be retesting him to see if he can shed the virus or if he is truly FeLV positive. His siblings tested negative. He is being kept separate from other cats until he is retested. We are looking for a foster to adopt home that understands FeLV cats, in the event he is truly positive. It is tough for us to keep him in a foster home away from the other cats but we are being cautious. Cats with the virus do NOT have leukemia. We have seen kittens shed the virus when they mature or get healthier. This is a very common disease. To read more about FeLV, please see this article: https://catfriendly.com/feline-diseases/felv/ All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, FeLV/FIV tested, microchipped, dewormed, and current on flea/heartworm prevention. No declawing. Indoor homes only.
