**URGENT placement - foster home or permanent home.** Sylvester is coming back to us after several months in a home where the owner believes her old dog has been impacted negatively by a cat. Sylvester is FeLV (leukemia virus) positive and is a tuxedo medium hair, 1 year old (4/21). Sylvester is an insta-purr kitty, as soon as he gets attention, he falls in love. Sylvester also loves to run around and play with toys. He spends his days playing, taking naps in funny positions and snuggling with his foster parents. Sylvesters perfect home would be with someone who loves to play (although he will play on his own), and someone who has a warm lap for him when he is all tuckered out. He is left ear tipped. He was supposed to be a TNR (trap, neuter, return) from an outdoor colony, but once we saw how sweet he was and how dangerous the area was he was to return to, we brought him into our adoption program. We are looking for a home that understands FeLV cats. They don't know they have this virus and he is healthy and has no other illnesses. It's just a concern to have a FeLV positive cats around cats that do not have the virus. It is tough for us to keep him in a foster home away from the other cats. Cats with the virus do NOT have leukemia. We have seen kittens shed the virus when they mature or get healthier so when he comes back to us, we will retest him. This is a very common disease. To read more about FeLV, please see this article: https://catfriendly.com/feline-diseases/felv/. Sylvester is a very special cat that we love very much and we know his forever home is out there! All cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, FeLV/FIV tested, microchipped, dewormed, and current on flea/heartworm prevention. No declawing. Indoor homes only.
