About Tyson

Handsome Tyson is 94 lbs of pure testosterone who has a tough and burly look but is nothing but a big snuggly teddy bear! Every male dog wants to be him and every female dog wants to with him. Tyson is a 3.5 year old American Pit Bull mix who needs a strong pack leader ready to keep him active! He is a water bug that loves to take dips in the pool and soak up all the suds . Tyson needs lots of activity and would require either daily walks, pool workout, another active playmate his size or weekly intense workout from Run Buddy Mobile. Tyson is at his best when he has had an opportunity to deplete his youthful energy. Tyson has a high prey drive and must not be around small squeaky/barky/squirrely animals or kids. Tyson grew up with a young boy when he was younger and Tyson loved this little boy but it's been over a year and half since he's been around children, so it's recommended no children under 12. Tyson's previous family surrendered him because they were looking at an eviction due to breed restrictions and was very sad to let him go but trusted us to find him the perfect home. Tyson is crate trained and will need a transition period to learn to use the doggy door or to let you know to be let out. He understands the 'sit' and 'shake' commands. Tyson is the perfect protector and will always be willing to be your prince charming. If someone has had trauma in their life and doesn't sleep well due to fear....Tyson is your dog, he will be your sentry and your soldier to stand guard to help you feel safe. He is a dog that wants to have a job and your love in return is his only pay he needs in return. For the safety of the dog and potential adopters, you must have previous big breed experience and have a good understanding of their needs. No apartments or rentals with breed or weight restrictions.
