SCHEDULED TO BE EUTHANIZED. Youtube: https://youtu.be/htVJc1nacM8 Hi, my name is RON ID#A443460. I am a male neutered, black and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix. The shelter staff think I am about 4 years old, and I have been at the shelter since June 24, 2020. Unless we find a home for Ron, he will be euthanized in the next couple of days. Look at his beautiful face! This wiggly boy is not doing well in the shelter setting. Sweet Ron has begun to fixate on certain objects while at the shelter. He is drawn to large rocks in the play yard and will mouth and push the rock all around the yard. It can be challenging to redirect his attention. Ron was able to coexist with other dogs in his dog evaluation, although he was a little dominant. Ron needs a change in setting; a calm home, a yard to run and play, and understanding and patient fosters / adopters who are willing to help him through his obsessive behaviors. Ron cannot go to a home with children due to his resource guarding and hyperfixation on objects. He will need training to help him. 'Underdog Rescue' does have a trainer that can evaluate Ron to see what type of training is needed. Please consider saving this sweet guy before it is too late. 'URGENT' If you have no breed restrictions, please call ASAP = 520-800-4633 PLEASE NOTE: You must have an appointment to go to shelter to meet this dog. With the COVID-19 situation continually changing, we are currently only scheduling appointments about two weeks in advance. Please check the sign-up link often as availability changes throughout the day. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
