About Portobello

Adoption Fee: $80.00
Australian Cattle Dog mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Portobello mushrooms are an excellent source of riboflavin (also known as vitamin B2), a vitamin that is important for energy production. This curious pup needs a patient humans who will take the time to gain his trust and help him plant his roots in his forever home. Portobello is a 1.5 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix that weighs about 45 pounds full grown. He has come along way since the stray at the County shelter that required a snare to control. Though he can now walk well on a leash and has learned basic manners, Portobello still has a ways to go until he is open to making friends at the drop of a hat. He is very shy and will need a home with no young children. Portobello may do well with older teens that will understand to respect his boundaries and go at his pace. He thrives around other dogs of his size (he does well with smaller dogs too) and must have a playful/people friendly canine companion to bond with. Having a well socialized companion will help him overcome his fear of new humans. Portobello is also good with felines! He loves running in open areas with his canine friends and needs a home with a securely fenced yard for him to explore. Portobello is house broken, kennel trained, and rides well in the car. Portobello will require multiple meet and greets, as well as a home check prior to adoption. Are you ready for a daily source of energy and help a nervous boy start a new chapter in life? He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet check and microchipped. His adoption fee of $80 includes a free vet visit.
