Until further notice to adhere to CDC's recommendations, meet and greets and adoption are appointment only. ** Tulip is an energetic 1 year old Parson Russell Terrier mix who is looking for a loving forever home. Tulip came to us after being saved from the streets by HARTT who was able to humanely trap her with some other dogs she had been running wild with. After a few days resting easy at the rescue, her belly dropped and we found a foster home for this pregnant momma to go give birth and raise her family with. Tulip gave birth to and took wonderful care of her family, so now it's time to find a family to care for her. Tulip has been through a lot in her short life and will need a very gentle, patient home who understands that she may need time to warm up and come around. In her foster home she loved her foster mom and really loved the other dogs of all sizes. Tulip would be happiest in a home with another dog or two and someone who is almost always home with her. She loves to play and can get a little rough when playing because she gets so excited! Tulip needs socialization and would do best with teenagers or older. Though she is getting much better and has learned getting pet isn't so bad. Tulip is an escape artist who will take any chance to take a run. She can easily jump a 5 foot fence or pen, will dart through an open door, or climb chain link. She will need a yard with a very tall and secure brick wall & will need to be watched carefully near doors and in her yard until she adjusts. Tulip is a sweet young gal who has lived quite the life and just needs someone to give her love and take the time to understand her needs. She weighs 20 pounds full grown. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped. Her adoption fee of $200 includes a free vet visit.
