About Toby

Toby Toby Toby! This super cute guy is barely a year old, if that. Still has the loose skin and puppy tummy. He's a smorgasbord, the size and shape of a heeler at about 39 lbs, possibly has some border collie and some type of shepherd, and some breed that has gorgeous silver fur. Hard to see the silver in the photos, I took a photo of his back so you can see it better. His DNA test would definitely be interesting! This guy is one of those dogs that is most likely to die at the shelter. Same story as the recently rescued and adopted out 7 month old Bailey. Toby did not respond well upon intake to the shelter environment and was immediately placed in the back as Needs Rescue. Death sentence. If he had landed at any other shelter other then those run by Riverside and San Bernardino counties, someone would probably have taken the time, even 5 min, to find out that he is actually a sweet cuddle bunny that does not mind being on a leash. Well, he's safe now! Toby's been doing great on house training, already crate trained and, with some help with proper introductions, does well with other dogs. Toby would do best in a home without young children, preferably a home where he will be the focus and can spend a lot of time with his person. He will make a great buddy for someone! Toby is currently in Huntington Beach. He'll be coming to Paso when we have a couple of adoptions and make room.
