Hi, my name is BETTY - ID#A4419340. I am a spayed female, tan and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix. The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old, and I have been at the shelter since May 19, 2020. It's pool time and I'm searching for a BFF who enjoys splashing in the water as much as I do! Here are some notes from staff who recently spent time with Betty: 5/19/2020 INTAKE ASSESSMENT friendly on impound; allowed vaccines with light restraint; wiggly body squinty eyes; walked on leash to kennel. 5/28/2020 ENRICHMENT Easy kennel pull; pulled on leash; explored yard; came to handler for petting; walking back to kennel, stiffed/growled at barrier reactive dogs; returned to kennel without issue. 6/20/2020 OBSERVATION Easy to leash; pulled hard on leash to yard; very affiliative with handler. Easy kennel return. 6/24/2020 OBSERVATION Easy pull; pulled on leash; explored yard; approached handler after some time and solicited attention; leaned into petting; spooked when trash bag moved, then recovered quickly; attempted to fence fight on return; allowed leash removal. 7/4/2020 ENRICHMENT Easy pull; spent time in yard. Enjoyed playing in water, sought petting and attention throughout time in yard. Walked well on kennel return.
