Licking his lips in anticipation of receiving some love, Rex revels in being the center of his fosters' attention. The 60-pound black beauty thrives on snuggles and pets and enjoys going on walks or on hikes as much as simply chilling on the couch. He also likes car rides and playing with other dogs, and being a great fan of treats, he accepts them gently, then carries them out of the room to eat them 'in private.' Highly food motivated, he knows 'sit', walks very well on leash and is both crate and housetrained. He does, however, have a tendency to 'guard' his fosters from his canine foster sibs, but he responds quickly when his foster mom corrects his behavior. Now for Rex to thrive he may be best suited as the only dog in an adoptive home or in one where patience and loving will teach him that sharing can be a good thing.
