About Oreo

This handsome boy is Oreo, a Border Collie / McNab who came from a working ranch. He was born September, 2019 and weighs 50 pounds at the moment. Oreo knows his basics: sit and down. He also knows 'turn' where he turns in a circle. He is good on leash but pulls some. We are working on heel. He loves walks and hikes. Oreo is also great in the car. He sits politely and looks out the window. He will be an amazing adventure partner. Oreo is house and crate trained but will need reinforcement. Oreo is friendly with men, women, and kids. He lived with kids in his prior home. He is also friendly with other dogs. Oreo will appreciate another dog pal who likes to play. He also likes to play with toys. He also likes to fetch. Oreo thinks it's fun to chase flies and bees. He also likes to drink out of a running hose while you water plants. Oreo's original family discovered that 2-3 hours of exercise a day didn't work for Oreo, so they had to give him up despite loving him. They did good work with him, so he is balanced and has no issues beyond beyond being exactly what a dog is when it comes from working lines: no off switch. Oreo needs a home who truly engages him both mentally and with exercise. If you live in an apartment and your dog doesn't go to work with you, or all day daycare, then it's not a fit. Oreo is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is located in Anaheim, Ca. We do not ship our dogs. He is available for a meeting and adoption in SoCal. A home visit and vet reference are required.
