There's something about GARY (#A1942582)! I don't know why he has drawn my attention, but I'm hoping that by networking him, he will get the attention from someone who would like to adopt/foster/rescue him. He is 10-years-old and weighs 57 pounds. GARY entered the East Valley Animal Shelter as a 'stray' on June 28. The finder said he was non-ambulatory on his back legs, but he appears to be fine now. Because I haven't been able to meet him, personally, I asked the shelter to give me whatever information they could about him. I was told that he was a little nervous when approached inside the kennel, but he was easy to leash. His tail was wagging as he was walked, but he flinched a little when other dogs barked as he passed their kennels. He was taken into an office and barked at the shut door, and panted. He was not interested in treats, although he enjoys a Kong in his kennel. Heading back to the kennel, he pancaked and resisted going in, but once in, he was fine being petted on the head, and allowed for the leash to be removed with no problem.
