This is Obi a Lab/Chow mix. He is 4yrs old. He spent several months in the shelter before he was adopted. I rescued him after being surrendered for growling a child within 24 hours of adoption. I worked with a trainer to integrate him into my group of rescues. He had food aggression which I have worked with him. During meals he goes into his crate on his own and waits for his bowl. He is territorial of his area. Few times has growled when on the couch and asked to move. He is jealous of other dogs. He is territorial of his human. We are a family of five adults and teens. He plays well with the teens and is very loving with adults. Enjoys affection when he initiates. He is calm temperament and obedient. I work from home and he lays down next to me all day. He likes to go for walks and fetch ball. We limit facial contact as he did snap at me causing a laceration to eyelid when I pulled away no puncture wounds. He is a solid boy that likes to snuggle next to you on the couch and bed if allowed. Knows standard commands, Sit, down, come, leave it, stay, inside, place, ball and paw. He is treat motivated and positive reinforcement. Why you may ask we are rehoming. There are tensions with my other dogs and I have witnessed a few altercations. Dogs are on guard making it an unhealthy environment. If you are an experienced dog owner adult only home with no other pets Obi will make a good companion.
