About Chase

Meet sweet and adorable Chase! He is a 6 to 7 year old Chihuahua, who weighs 7 pounds. Chase was originally found as a stray, and was with us for about a week before his owner was found. She ultimately decided to surrender him to the rescue, so he's looking for a new home! Since the day Chase arrived he has been his foster mom's shadow, following her from room to room, just waiting to jump in her lap or snuggle beside her. At first he was only playful with his foster mom, but once he got comfortable he started to play with toys and fetch. Chase has good energy and is a curious friendly little guy! He has been great with all other dogs, both in his foster home and with the ones he has encountered while out and about with his foster mom. He loves to go for walks and car rides! From what we know, Chase is great with cats. He had a very traumatic event that involved a kid when he was younger and should not go to a home with children. Chase would be happy as an only pet with a single person or a family, or with another dog, as he does have a playful side to him. He is not 100% potty trained and may mark in new surroundings. His foster mom is working on his housebreaking and his neuter, which is scheduled soon, will help! Chase sleeps in the big bed at night, curled up under the covers at the foot of the bed. He has been to the vet and is up-to-date on shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. His neuter is scheduled soon and he is also scheduled for a dental. Both of those procedures are covered by the rescue as long as they are done at our vet. Chase is just the cutest little bundle of cuddly personality who will make someone a great new best friend!
