I adopted Dagger from the local shelter a little over a year ago and we believe is is about 2 years old now. We believe he is part lab part black mouth cur mix. He is house trained and knows some basic skills (sit, lay, come, etc). Dagger is a high energy dog who loves to run outside. Dagger has always been a sweet affectionate dog but recently he bit my 10 year old. Dagger had abuse in his early puppy stage of life and even after a year with us still occasionally gets startled. My son came up behind him quietly and started petting him. Dagger has been around other dogs and is not aggressive. He loves to chase cats but has never been aggressive. He has been the single pet in our home since we got him but we have taken him to dog parks several times without incident. I believe Dagger would do best in a single pet home with no children. I know a dog with a bite history makes re-homing more difficult but I'd rather have him go to a new home than to a shelter to not be adopted or put down. Dagger is chipped and up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, & heart-worm prevention (due soon but if not adopted before due I will keep it current).
