Always read entire post please. Due to Covid 19 - visits to meet our guests are by appointment only until further notice. 541 474-5458 Introducing Lucy! Lucy is a loyal girl, who is about 5 years old and weighs 67lbs. She is friendly to all she meets and super athletic! With a happy demeanor, this girl will do anything for a toy...her world revolves around the next time you will throw her a ball! Lucy is so focused and motivated (aka highly trainable!) that she is looking for a home with no kids, since sometimes they are obstacles to getting her toy :) She meets dogs and cats politely, but does not enjoy sharing her home with them (you can guess why....all the toys belong to her). Do you have a toy bin that you could put Lucy's name on? Meet Panda! Panda is a 2 year old boy who weighs 100lbs. Panda is a silly, sweet boy who takes an extra minute to warm up to new people. He might let out a grumble, but will follow it up with a play bow to try to entice you closer. He plays a little cat and mouse, but when he feels comfortable for one on one time, he is a sweet, affectionate dog who loves to be loved on. He has lived outdoors, so will need some acclimation to indoor living. Panda has done well with other dogs here at the shelter, and especially loves playing with his mom, Gohan. He does not have experience with kids or cats. If you are replying to a post on a rescue site- Please tell us about your family, activities, other animals and your expectations of your pet and what they can expect from you and the city in which you live. You are encouraged to make every effort to visit the shelter for a meet and greet. Staff available to assist. You can walk on the trails and interact in the play yards. Unless otherwise noted, we can not say if a dog does well with cats, livestock or chickens or with the dogs you may already have in your home or at dog parks. So please, if you have a dog, please arrange to bring for a meet and greet. Current vaccinations, spayed or neutered and micro chipped. Available at the Josephine County Animal Shelter 1420 Brookside Blvd. Grants Pass, across from the Grants Pass Airport. You are encouraged to call the shelter at 541 474-5458.
