About Aurora

Hi! This is Aurora. She is a Border Collie/Lab mix. Her birthday is April 14, 2019. We rescued Aurora in April of 2020 and she has been a joy ever since. Aurora is great, very obedient and easy to train. The only problem I have had with Aurora is her over protective nature. When on walks, she lunges at men and other dogs that she thinks are a danger to us. I have tried getting a trainer but I just don't have the time or resources to continue to put into what it will take to train her. If I had someone else to go with on walks (like another adult) then it would honestly be more manageable but I am a single parent and she is too much for me while I have my child. When it's just her and I on walks and I am able to focus purely on her we make big strides in training. She is easy to train, listens to commands and deep down just wants to do whatever it takes to make you happy. Aurora will do well with other dogs but because she is a rescue any introduction to anything whether it be another human or dog should be done slowly. She will bark, especially at new men, but if you put your hand out and let her come to you she calms down. She will do well with a home with kids and or other dogs with a yard or area where she can run and play. She likes to cuddle and loves to give kisses. She is very protective but with some time and training that protection can be contained and she will make an excellent dog!
