Thanks for your cooperation!*** WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog. We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around the US and Canada, but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Renton, WA. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to cover medical bills. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Chase QuickPay, PayPal, Dakota Dakota is roughly 47.60 lbs & is still very thin but her wonderful foster home is still working on putting weight on her, she is 12 months old & perhaps a akita, female, spayed by laser by our wonderful vets, microchipped, up to date on her shots, including DHLPP, Bordatella, CIV, rabies & dewormed twice & treated 3 times for a tick & flea infestation. Dakota's fur was patchy & missing when we got her from neglect, poor nutrition, tick & flea infestation & is now growing in. She still has many small scabs on her from the ticks & fleas but is healing well.��%BD��%BD%BD%A0 How this sweetheart ended up in a kill shelter in CA & no one coming for her, we will never ever know. Dakota had run out of time at this kill shelter & we wanted to give her a wonderful life. We rescued Dakota & got her straight to our vets as it was clear she was tick��%BD��%BD%BD%A0��%BD��%BD%BD%A0infested, skinny, not spayed, needed her shots, to be microchipped etc & needed someone to love her. Dakota was bought back to WA state from CA where she can't wait to find her loving forever home. Once this beauty trusts you & knows you, her lovely personality shines. Everyone who meets Dakota loves her, she became our vets favorite girl.��%BD��%BD%BD%A0 Dakota sometimes takes a little while to warm up to some people but once she does you are her world. In her current foster home Dakota adores her foster mum & dad, enjoys looking out the window & running & playing in the backyard but also enjoys snuggling with her foster family. Dakota needs a forever home with a fully fenced backyard where she can enjoy herself. This lady is one smart girl, she was never clearly brushed & when her foster mum try's to brush her she takes the brush from her to let her know she has had enough. When we got Dakota she had so many scabs on her from the tick infestation & ticks that she still has patchy fur & still some remaining scabs that are slowly going away with good nutrition & care. Dakota has now begun playing with her foster siblings in the home so we want her to go to a forever home with other playful dogs in the home. She did take a little while to play with the foster dogs in the home but now she truly enjoys their company. She has also now discovered toys, so she will need toys in her new forever home along with a home who is active who would enjoy going on hikes & walks. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Dakota & we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving foster home. Dakota's new forever home must have a fully fenced backyard.��%BD��%BD%BD%A0 Dakota rides beautifully in the car & enjoys a good journey & walks beautifully on her harness & leash. We are looking for a forever home with Dakota where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them.��%BD��%BD%BD%A0 Dakota is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved. Dakota has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently fostered with other dogs & does well. Dakota needs to go to a forever home where they have other playful dogs in the home.��%BD��%BD%BD%A0 We have spent far more on rescuing Dakota, boarding, medical care, transport etc than Dakota's fee covers.��%BD��%BD%BD%A0 Dakota has been around cats since being in the rescue & does well with the cats in her foster home but it's always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children so we do not recommend small children & it's always up to the family to be responsible with their children. We were not there when Dakota was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it's always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is.��%BD��%BD%BD%A0 As with all of our rescues & Dakota's friends she will n
