Meet Bryant, a 2 year old Puggle, which is the mix of a Pug and a Beagle. Bryant is a little hefty at 46 pounds and could stand to lose a few pounds. He is on his way to doing that at his foster home, but needs an owner committed to getting him slimmed down. Bryant came to us after several phone calls from people who know him. Unfortunately, Bryant needed rescued because his owner suffered a medical issue and could not return home from the hospital. The neighbors had been caring for him alerted us to his need for rescue and after contact with the family he moved to one of our foster homes. Bryant had a cherry eye that we had surgically corrected. This is when one of the blood vessels going to the eye bulges out of place and there is a red bulge in the corner of the eye. It has no effect on eyesight and has now been corrected. Bryant is up to date on vaccinations and has been heartworm tested. He has also been microchipped. Bryant is a very nice boy. He is good with humans of all ages. He is happy to meet new people and goes with the flow. He is good with other dogs his size or smaller. He can be a little nervous of dogs larger than him. We don't know how he is with cats. Bryant needs a fenced backyard where he can hang out and play safely. He loves to hang out with his people in his backyard. Being part Pug and having the facial features of a Pug, these very warm days are not his friend and he needs to be able to stay cool. On cooler days Bryant would love to go for walks or just go with you on errands. He would just love to be your companion.
