About Christy

Adoption Fee: $250
Australian Shepherd mix
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

This little girl is Christy. She was born May 8th and currently weighs 9 pounds. We expect Christy to be a large adult. Christy is one of a litter of nine girls and one boy. Christy is very sweet and cuddly. She loves to be held. Christy's mom is Izzie, a 42 pound Australian Shepherd mix. Izzie and her 10 puppies were dumped at a closed Missouri shelter at the start of COVID-19. The shelter reached out for help and one of our volunteers left immediately and drove to get her. Izzie and her week old puppies made the trip to Iowa to one of our foster homes. We don't have a clue who daddy was. Christy has had her first distemper/parvo vaccine, is microchipped and will be spayed and have her second distemper/parvo vaccine on July 11th. She will be ready to go to her forever home July 12th. Her adopters will be responsible for her last distemper/parvo vaccine at 14 weeks and her rabies vaccine at 16 weeks. Christy is doing great at her house training but is a young puppy so his forever home needs to have the ability to get her out to potty every 4 hours throughout the day untilë'█°she is older.ë'█°Christy requires a physically fenced yard to run and play safely. If you would like to meet Christy, please complete the adoption application on ourë'█°website:ë'█°www.furfunrescue.org.ë'█° If youë'█°have questions aboutë'█°Christy please contact [email protected] or call 319-929-6657.ë'█° Adopters must be within a two hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA.ë'█° Indoor homes only.ë'█° Adoption donation $250.ë'█°
