About Wobble

*Wobble is a special needs puppy, please read entire Bio before applying* Wobble is 1 puppy of 3 who were rescued from a backyard breeder that are suspected to have Cerebellar Hypoplasia (underdeveloped cerebellum). She is also deaf. Don't let that fool you into thinking she isn't the happiest puppy on the planet, because she is. Wobble has been doing well potty training, has learned several hand signal commands, is doing well leash walking and is crate trained. Her neurologic disorder has not slowed her down in the least bit and is usually only noticeable when she is very excited or tired. Her adopter should be aware that a little extra patience will be necessary when finishing Wobble's training. It is preferred that she continues with a professional positive reinforcement trainer (bonus points if adopter is able to use foster's current trainer, who has been working with Wobble on balance equipment and nosework, which has been paramount to improving Wobble's coordination and focus). Wobble may have had one small seizure while in foster care. Her foster mom waited to post her for adoption a while longer to monitor for more. While she hasn't had any others since, anyone interested in adopting her must acknowledge that Wobz could develop seizures in the future due to her neurological disorder, and be prepared to provide any necessary vet care and medications if needed. Wobble would thrive with an adopter familiar with the Australian shepherd breed, and special needs pups. She will need a secure fenced in yard and should live in a home where she doesn't have free access to stairs as her neurological disorder can make her a little clumsy at times especially in the rear end. She is very active and has typical young aussie energy, so she will need an adopter willing to give her plenty of exercise and enrichment (Dock diving anybody? This girl is a natural born swimmer and has already been introduced to the ramp and her confidence on it is improving each outing). If there are any children in the home they should be over the age of 13 and dog savvy. She loves playing with other dogs and would do well with a confident fur sibling to help show her the ropes. Wobble is a gorgeous blue eyed Blue Merle, about 5 months old, and will likely mature to a mini size. She is spayed, microchipped, UTD on vaccines/flea/tick/HW preventative.
