About Ralph

Adoption Fee: $350
Lab / Pit Bull
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Ladies and gentlemen please meet #Ralph aka Ralphie. He's a 2-3 year old, lab/pit mix who is just a goofy boy & is ready to meet his forever family. Ralph is a perfectly mannered gentleman with the calm personality, but can also be very playful when he feels like it. Ralph does great with other dogs and will fit into any pack out into his path. He hasn't had a lot of interaction with kids, but seems to be very gentle with them. Cats are unknown at this point. Ralph is 100% potty trained and 100% crate trained. This boy went through a lot in his short life and is very shy at first, but with a calming and loving environment he will come out of his shell in no time. Due to Ralph's shy personality, we are making it a requirement that there is another dog companion in his prospective home to show him the ropes. Ralph is currently up for adoption through Lending a Helping Paw Dog Rescue. Our adoption fee is $350 and will include his distemper, rabies, bordetella, parvo, and lepto vaccines; deworming, microchip, heartworm test, and being fixed. Ralph is heartworm negative and is currently on heartworm prevention, as well as flea & tick preventative. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: No Exceptions - No Apartments - Privacy fenced in yard is Required (An Invincible Fence is NOT Acceptable) - Must have another dog in his prospective home - Training: His adopter must attend a minimum of 1 series of ONLY 'Force Free Training Courses.' Our training partners over at K9 Turbo Training have offered all of our adopters discounted rates. Training the dog yourself will not be acceptable. - We kindly ask that you please wait to ask any questions until the phone interview. PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST & FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS With the Covid-19 Pandemic going on we are still doing adoptions, but please remember that we are all volunteers and safety comes first. All prospective adopters must live within a 50 mile radius of Metro Detroit. Please remember we are not a shelter and are 100% foster based. Once you submit your application, it may take up to 2 weeks for us to get back to you. So please be patient with us. Again, we kindly ask that you please read the entire post to answer your questions. If you cannot follow the instructions properly, we will skip your application or request and move onto the next one. We kindly ask that you save any questions, comments or concerns for the phone interview. We kindly ask the following: No phone calls, No pm's, & No multiple emails- We are all volunteers and promise to get back to you within a timely fashion! Lending A Helping Paw Dog Rescue; previously known as the PRO-PET-OTIC Foundation, is a 100% Foster-Based Rescue that is ran by all Volunteers. Which means that we are not a shelter & each animal is in an actual home with a foster family. We kindly ask that you put any questions within the email & our team of Volunteers will get back to you. With the overwhelming amount of emails please be patient with our 100% volunteer family and we will get back to you. The application MUST BE filled out, a Vet Check MUST BE completed by our team, as well as a phone interview before we do a 'Meet N Greet.' You must be 21 years old to apply. Vet Checks: When adopting through our rescue, we 'ALWAYS' do a vet check on each applicant's pets that they have owned over the past 10 years. Please make sure to call your vet to grant them permission to release this information to our rescue. That being said, all of the animals in each applicant's home must be UTD on all of their vaccines (DHLPP & Rabies), an UTD Heartworm Test, & currently on both Flea & Tick, as well as Heartworm Prevention. So please make sure that when you are applying that all of your current animals go to the vet that is listed. How To Apply: If you're interested in adopting one of our available dogs: 1. Email [email protected] with the dogs name as the subject when you ask for the adoption application. 2. Once you have completed the application, please print it out, fill it out, scan it, & then email it back to [email protected] 3. Please make sure to call your vet to grant our organization permission to do a vet check on your current pet. 4. Please be honest & truthful on your application. We always do a 'Vet Check.' We always do a 'Home Visit.' And we always have both the prospective families & dogs best interest at heart!
