Tyler is an adorable, happy-go-lucky, social and affectionate male Lab/Terrier (?) mix looking for a loving forever home. He was rescued from a very rural animal control facility in KY. We don't know much of anything about his past but he is estimated to be around 8 months old and weighs in around 40 pounds. We are estimating his adult weight to be in the 50-60 pound range. Tyler's tail wags non stop and he always has a smile on his face. He is a curious and playful dog who loves meeting new friends, human and canine alike and will make a great companion for an active household. He is crate trained and does well with his housebreaking when kept on a regular schedule. Due to COVID-19, many of our veterinarians have restricted access to non-emergency services. As a result, we have not been able to have some of our dogs spayed/neutered prior to adoption, including Tyler. With many other shelters and rescues closing down, we want and need, to continue to save lives. For a limited time, intact dogs may be available to adopt on a foster-to-adopt basis, dependent on the adopter's location and ability to travel to our partner clinics when they are fully operational. For this reason, we are only considering local adoptions for Tyler (Chicagoland area/neighboring states) with the understanding he will need to be returned to Pal's Place for his neuter when our partner clinics resume full operation. Tyler's adoption fee is $375. This fee covers the cost of his neuter, initial vaccines, microchip, and initial de-worming. Tyler is currently in a foster home in Chicago and can be seen by appointment once an application has been received and approved.
