Say hi to Jeb! He is a 5 year old, 12 pound Chiweenie who was living his life on the streets before he came to rescue. A very nice lady worked on building his trust so she could get him and a furry friend to safety. It took her weeks to catch them, but she did it and we are happy to have him! Jeb really is the sweetest guy! He has been adopted and returned twice but he has been in two separate foster homes with us, and both families have loved him. We think this is just a matter of Jeb not finding his right home with people who understand him. Jeb was a street dog, and he has protective instincts. We have come to learn that Jeb is very in tune with his person. When they are stressed or upset he feels that and he wants to make sure they are ok. This is not a bad thing! Also, initially we thought that he would be fine as an only dog but we think a home with another dog would be good for him as that has been the common denominator in both of his foster homes where he's done so well. A playful female about his size would make him very happy! Jeb is a very friendly dog. He is a sweet snuggle bug who loves to sleep in the big bed. He also loves his chair in the living room and can be found there most days, just chilling. We are sure he had a rough life on the streets, but he is very smart. He uses the doggy door and he seems to be house trained already. Jeb gets along with all of the dogs he has met so far, big and small. He hasn't been cat tested, and a home without kids is best. He is not a high energy dog, but as he gets more and more comfortable his playful personality comes out more! He really loves playing other dogs in his foster home. Jeb had a couple of escapes when he first came to rescue. Once he settled in he was fine, but as a precaution he does require a very secure fenced in yard or someone who will walk him on a leash. He has a fantastic temperament and we think he would be a great in almost any home, even as an apartment dog. Jeb is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. He will be a great companion dog for a lucky person!
