About Scout

Scout is a 7 year Australian Kelpie mix with resource guarding issues and territorial issues. She will be happiest in a home without a lot new people coming and going. Outside the home she is well behaved, but at home she has bitten guests. She does not attack, just a quick bite and flee. We have a large family, with guests coming and going constantly and we have come to the realization that her behavior will not change and we can no longer keep her. We'd love to see her with a a single person or couple, who understands her issues and need for the home to be a safe place free from new people. She has had a knee problem which has healed but sometimes she is a little stiff. Otherwise she is healthy. She enjoys walks, and squeaky toys.
