About Eddie

Eddie, or as he likes to be called, Eddie Spaghetti, is your ideal companion dog. A perfect size for playing and snuggling at 18 lbs., this 3-year-old Rattie mix has looks that suggest some Jack Russell heritage. Personality-wise, though, he seems to be all Rat Terrier. Eddie makes fast friends and gets along with everyone in his foster home. He likes to play and wrestle with his canine housemates, from the Chihuahua all the way up (and up) to the Great Dane. He's cautiously respectful of the kitties and leaves them alone. Eddie is a smart fellow, who shows promise of being easily trained. He knows sit and comes when you call his name. He's also fully house-trained and crate trained, and he does great in a fenced backyard. He likes to go on walks and gets excited when he sees the leash come out, although he could use some help with leash manners. And car rides? Count him in; he loves them! His enthusiasm for stuffed squeaky toys is unequaled (he's been known to shred one in seconds!), and he might even need to be assigned specified 'squeaky toy time.' He's not too hyper, however, because if you're looking for a cuddle buddy, Eddie is your guy. He loves to snuggle with people on the couch and will sleep under the covers right next to you if you'll let him. Everyone who has met him can't believe that this first-class canine came from a shelter. That's how great he is.
