About Parker

Adoption Fee: $200.00
Corgi / Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Do you hear what I'm hearing? You called out for cute dogs and boy did we hear ya! Parker (aka Flipper for his goofy run) is a 1.5 year old Corgi/ Cattle Dog mix looking for his forever home that can keep up with him! He is a sweet boy that prefers to do things at his pace. Parker is great with women, but can sometimes take a bit longer to warm up to men. He needs a patient home that will help him become more confident in making friends! Parker will gladly hear out just about anything for a good treat. He has very rarely been around children, though may do well in a home with dog savvy/mature teens that will play with him and grow a friendship! Parker will need to be in a home where any canine companions are as large as, or better yet larger than he is and very tolerant of goofy playmates. Please bring any current dogs to meet before adoption. He needs a very active home that will get him worn out throughout the day so he will sleep all night. Parker is an intelligent boy that has the perfect hearing for learning new tricks! He is house broken, knows how to use a doggy door, and rides well in the car. Parker is still a puppy and can be unsure of strangers on walks, he will need additional training to mind his manners while in public and when his humans have company. He is quite the piglet and loves to chow down on his food at maximum speed, we recommend getting a slow feeder so he slows down. Parker requires his home to have a securely fenced backyard large enough for him to complete full circles of zoomies and to play with his humans! He would not do well in an apartment environment as he loves to warn his humans about activity outside and will let his neighbors know when his people have left. For your own personal alarm system, snuggle buddy, loyal goofy canine companion, Parker is the perfect fit. He weighs 36 pounds and seems to be done growing. No apartments or rentals with breed or weight restrictions. Parker came to us with a horrible case of Valley Fever. He had so many lesions on his small body. He is currently being treated, next titer scheduled for 4 to 6 months from now. Valley Fever treatment is usually 12 months. Parker will go home with his medication, that is to be given 2 times a day. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped. His adoption fee is $200 which includes a free vet visit and 30 days of complementary pet insurance. To meet Parker or if you have any questions, please contact his foster dad Mike at [email protected].
