About Frisbee

Hi, my name is FRISBEE - ID#A4393719. I am a neutered male, brown and white American Pit Bull Terrier mix. The shelter staff think I am about 2 years and 1 month old, and I have been at the shelter since Mar 14, 2020. Frisbee is a sweet 2 year old pitty male who was brought in on a snare. He was trembling and scared. He is very dog social participates in dog playgroups. Takes treats gently and knows sit. To appreciate the progress Frisbee has made, here is his brief history: 3/14/2020 INTAKE ASSESSMENT Brought in on snare. Alligator rolling. Curled lips when approached. Vaccinated on snare and carted to kennel. 3/16/2020 EVALUATION Back of kennel in corner, low growling with pilo-erection. When leash presented became more agitated. 3/18/2020 EVALUATION Stiff body on approach; trembling and tail tucked but allowed leashing. Fractious and biting leash once leashed. Softened and took treats once handler closed the kennel door. 3/21/2020 EVALUATION Came forward in a soft body posture; nervous and pacing when leash was presented. Backed into the corner; stiff and avoidant while collaring. Soft entrance; invasive greeting. Nervous but interested in the yard lead. Dominant and sexually motivated but remained social. Wary of lead when approaching to remove from yard. 3/29/2020 ENRICHMENT Easy pull from kennel and non-reactive while passing other dogs. Canine slightly nervous at first but warmed to handler during walk. Easy walk, no pulling, dog knows sit for treats and took gently. 4/8/2020 ENRICHMENT Participated in playgroup. 4/9/2020 ENRICHMENT Canine is receiving daily enrichment. 4/12/2020 ENRICHMENT Easy kennel pull; pulled on leash initially, then settled on walk; appeared to enjoy sniffing and exploring; attempted to hunt lizards by flushing them out of bushes and chasing after them; took treats gently; allowed petting all over; easy return.
