Hi, I'm Darko! I was rescued as a newborn pup in Mexico after a home-check revealed that I was not in a safe living situation. I didn't have my dog Mom at that time and sadly, I'm the only survivor of my brothers and sisters, but I'm safe and sound in Chicago now looking for a fur-ever home. I'm young, healthy, neutered, and up-to-date on my vaccinations! My current foster guardians would describe me as a very intelligent and high energy pup! I would LOVE a home where I can be a part of an active person's lifestyle :) I am however very fearful of strangers and I don't enjoy other dogs - I'd rather just hang with my person! Due to my struggles in the past, I have some behavioral issues. I want to learn, I want to understand love but I need someone who will patiently show me the way, and how to be a companion. I hear that is the most beautiful thing and I want to try that out. If you live a calm, easy going lifestyle and have patience and dog handling experience, please consider me as your pal.
