Needs •À%BD'ó¢ Children 8+. McKynlee, or Kyn Kyn to her foster family, is a deliciously loving, 42 lb., 1.4 year old, female, Lab mix. With her gorgeous big eyes, this girl looks at you and melts your heart. She is so full of love for her people and never fails to let them know. Kyn Kyn is so gentle and sweet as she comes and rests her head on her foster's leg while she works; all that's required is to stroke her and show you love her as much as she loves you. Her snuggles are beyond precious, and she will mold herself into her people to cuddle or lay against a leg or on a foot. This girl's love for her new family will be very, very special, even as her connection to others will need to develop more gradually. Funny and playful, McKynlee loves her toys and enjoys the other dogs in her foster home. She can often be found romping with them in the yard and would enjoy a home with another playful canine buddy; though we are on the fence about if she absolutely needs one. Full of joy in the morning, she makes the cutest happy noises - her foster mom calls it her 'warble.' Kyn Kyn is very connected to her people and her canine friends, but since she is hesitant with new people and new things, she would probably prefer to be more of a homebody than to be the dog going on lots of outings. As a result of this, she would do better in a home with children over age 12. This angel is crate trained, house-trained, leash trained and knows basic commands. McKynlee has Megaesophogus, (where her esophagus has some difficulties properly carrying food to the stomach) that has been well managed since she was about 8 weeks old on daily medication, (cost under $20 per month); she will likely need this for life and with it does eat and drink normally. Likewise, this does not slow her down one bit, and she is plenty rambunctious and happy. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about her or connect an adopter with her vet. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.
