'CHEECH' is a 1.5 yr old, 50 lb. Labrador Retriever mix male rescued from being surrendered to a high kill dog pound, due to the death of his owner, along with his canine siblings 'Chong' and 'Daisy'. Cheech is a sweet, fun & silly boy. Eager to please and very loving. Gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He would make a great companion dog for another pooch. Cheech can be very mischievous. He is the chewer of the trio. Cheech thinks he supposed to be a lap dog. He has 'hardware' in his back leg from where he broke it last summer and had surgery. This does not cause Cheech any distress or mobility issues, however an owner would want to begin him on Glucosamine- Chondroitin with MSM at an early age than most adult dogs to help combat any onset of arthritis. He still has an active life, but should not be a running buddy for a new owner. Cheech has been neutered, de-wormed, is current on vaccinations, on monthly heart worm preventative, crate-trained and house-trained. This rescue does not administer it's own vaccination shots. All of our rescued dogs' medical care has been administered by a licensed Veterinarian. All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., pro-biotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition.
