Please be aware that you must live within 45 minutes of 311 Harvey Street, Winston-Salem to apply to adopt from AARF due to a home visit being part of the adoption process. Due to the corona virus pandemic, AARF is not holding adoption fairs at this time. Please see our adoptable dogs and submit an on-line application at AARFWS.org. We will check references and set up an appointment for you to meet with the dog(s). Gypsy was a stray, who was hit by a car but was nursed back to health and the vet says she doesn't need further care for the injuries. She has some lingering nerve damage in her front leg, so can can still play and romp, but cannot go for extended walks or runs. She is about 2 years old, and 46 pounds. She loves to play with other dogs, but is somewhat exuberant, so would be best with a dog of similar size and energy. She has been fostered by a trainer and has learned some great doggy manners! She is crate trained, house trained, walks well on a leash, has learned 'sit' and 'stay' and not to jump on people. The trainer will work with the adopter to help maintain these skills. Gypsy loves to roll in the grass and snuggle on the sofa. Would you like her to join you in your home?
