Meet Beau This handsome boy needs you! Sweet, handsome, loyal Beau has been done wrong. Beau was originally surrendered after his owner's house burned down three years ago. Beau and his dad were living in a car. Knowing there was more for Beau in life, Beau was surrendered to us in the hopes of finding a loving home. For months Beau was despondent. Then after more than a year, an older couple came for Beau. Before they adopted, we said Beau's only issue is that he doesn't like other dogs. He's happy to just go out in the backyard and be with his people. We told them OVER AND OVER again and received assurance it wouldn't be an issue. They had a big back yard, which Beau LOVED. He was happy‰'Û| until his owners tried to mingle him with other dogs and walk him through the neighborhood where dogs roamed off leash. Unfortunately, for Beau he was considered too hard to handle when aggressively approached by an unleashed dog, not once, but twice. Beau gave his whole heart to his new family just to be brought back to the shelter for defending himself. They didn't protect him and they didn't love him enough to keep him safe at home. So now this handsome and near perfect dog is back at the shelter, confused and sad all over again. Beau is a 5.7 year old retriever/hound mix. Since being back he's been incredibly sweet. He LOVES people, of all ages. He loves it when you sit in the yard with him. He loves sitting in the sun. Beau is house-trained and has wonderful house manners. He loves riding in a car and travels well. Beau is calm, sweet and affectionate. He's absolutely the best companion anyone could ask for. All Beau wants is to be with his people. He doesn't want dogs or cats, he doesn't ask for a lot. He truly just wants to belong to people who love him. If you are looking for an incredible companion to welcome to your heart and home, Beau is ready. He's a love and he's just about perfect. He will make your every day that much better.
