About Logan

Adoption Fee: $175
Pit Bull / American Staffordshire Terrier
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Hi I'm Logan. My foster family believe I'm a Pit bull terrier and American Bully mix. See my Big head?? I'm a two year old neutered good boy looking for my furever home. I was a stray found in Prince George's County MD. I was really small when they found me, and though I've gained 13 pounds, I'm still underweight! I spent a few weeks at the shelter, but due to what they say is BSL, I couldn't be adoptable and walked by only a few nice hoomans. My foster family found me there and with the help of AAHA I said goodbye to shelter life. I had lots to learn about in a home! Like stairs? Tile floors? When I'm nervous I plop down on the floor but with a little encouragement I'll follow you where you need me to go. In a few short weeks I have learned sit, wait, down, Leave it, and kennel.. I'm also getting good at walking on a leash! I'm working on the potty training. I've had perfect times in the crate, but accidents too. I'll cry and let you know that I need to go though! I love all toys, being out in the yard even in the rain, and chewing all the time. Any bones in the house will do and I'll chew all night then curl up on my bed and sleep in the crate. If you think I'm the good boy for you, please contact AAHA to meet me! I'll give you loads of sloppy kisses! Logan is 60 pounds, and could use more weight. He is people friendly but can get over excited. Hasn't been tested with cats. Slow introductions with dogs are best, Logan is timid and did well with more socialized dogs, but did not get along with a fearful dog that agressed towards him. He could use more training on his dog meeting manners. At no fault of his own, a bad situation occurred with his foster sister, and both dogs got superficial facial wounds. With slow introductions and supervision, Logan can be fine with other dogs. Previously he and his foster sister were a good match as they were calm in the house, shared toys, played in the yard with and without toys, and walked on leash together well. Logan needs an experienced family willing and capable of handling his training and size. Due to his size and playfulness, he would be good in a home without young children. He's very cute and very trainable, and he would be fine as an only dog too.
